About The Position

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Iowa. This opportunity starts on Oct 27, 2025, and spans a 30-day assignment, working 12-hour shifts from 12 pm to 12 am, three times per week with every third weekend scheduled. Qualified candidates must hold appropriate certifications and licensure for emergency medicine practice.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide emergency medicine care to patients in a clinical setting

Assess, diagnose, and initiate treatment for acute and urgent medical conditions

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records

Adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards

Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled

Additional Information

Iowa nurse practitioner license required

Required certifications : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)

Board certifications required : Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC), Emergency Nurse Practitioner Certification (ENP-BC), Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
