The Receptionist will provide front-desk support for Cobblestone Fruit and its related entities. This role will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. By assisting with daily administrative tasks, the Receptionist will help maintain smooth office operations and support positive relationships with employees, vendors, and guests.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls; take messages as needed.
- Manage front desk operations, ensuring the reception area is tidy and presentable.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail, deliveries, and packages.
- Assist employees and visitors with general inquiries and direct them to the appropriate departments.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, conference rooms, or appointments as needed.
- Provide basic administrative support such as filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.
- Maintain office supplies for the front desk area and submit requests for replenishment.
- Assist HR and other departments with administrative tasks and projects as assigned.
- Assist with planning and coordinating company events, while taking a lead role in organizing team celebrations and culture-building activities that support employee engagement and a positive workplace environment.
- Provide oversight and support for the company vehicle program, including maintaining records, coordinating usage, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee and maintain the company’s snack and beverage offerings, ensuring supplies are stocked, organized, and reflective of team needs and preferences.
- Coordinates with the Security Department regarding vendor arrivals, visitor access, and deliveries to ensure proper authorization and site safety; communicates promptly with security or internal departments when assistance or support is needed, maintaining a secure and professional front-office environment.
- Coordinates and prepares lunch orders for important team meetings and culture-building events, helping create a welcoming and engaging environment for employees and guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of shared spaces, including the breakroom, conference room, and operating-side countertop. Responsibilities include ensuring the dishwasher is emptied daily, the refrigerator is cleaned out on a monthly basis, and general tidiness is upheld.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the contracted cleaning company, addressing service concerns or issues directly with the provider to ensure standards are met.
- Uphold confidentiality and represent the Company’s mission and values with professionalism at all times.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the success of the business.
Qualifications / Requirements
Alignment with the Company’s mission, values, and commitment to accuracy, integrity, and service.High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in Business, Communications, or related field preferred.1–2 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel); ability to learn new office systems and tools quickly.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality.Team-oriented, service-focused attitude with flexibility to assist multiple departments as needed.Ability to represent the Company’s mission and values when interacting with employees, visitors, and vendors.Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish preferred.Ability to work occasional overtime as required by the business needs.Availability to work onsite and in-office in Reedley, CA; and provide support to our Sanger, CA office as needed as well.Physical Demands & Abilities
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, working from a computer.Ability to sit at a computer for prolonged periods.Ability to occasionally push, pull, or lift up to 40 pounds.Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling of office equipment.
