About the Position

Meridian University is looking for a caring and curious team member to conduct heartfelt discussions with prospective students at its Los Angeles Campus. In this role, you will build relationships with post-graduate students seeking a transformative education, in order to provide individualized guidance.

The Meridian University curriculum offers an innovative, experiential, and transformative education to master's and doctoral students engaged in fields such as coaching, psychotherapy, organizational development, social healing, social entrepreneurship, and transformative leadership. Admission to Meridian is not based on revenue goals, but rather the applicant's alignment with the curriculum and the expected impact Meridian's unique programs may have on the student. Thus, staff at Meridian are dedicated to supporting these professionals in achieving both their career development and personal development goals.

Classification : Full Time

Base Working Hours : Monday-Friday, 8 : 45am-5 : 15pm Pacific Time

Location : On site at Meridian University's Los Angeles Center in Santa Monica, CA

This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Build authentic relationships with prospective students through personalized outreach—both in person and remotely.
  • Conduct live informational sessions that reflect Meridian’s values and offerings.
  • Proactively identify and engage leads, customizing outreach based on each prospect’s unique potential and goals.
  • Guide applicants through the admissions process with care, clarity, and responsiveness.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Meridian’s programs to communicate their impact effectively and confidently.
  • Represent Meridian locally by visiting businesses and community spaces to connect with potential students.
  • Support applicants with form and document submission throughout the admissions process, ensuring they feel confident and well-guided every step of the way.
  • Support team operations and contribute to process improvements across domains.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Strong alignment with Meridian’s curriculum and mission, with a genuine desire to help others grow.
  • Experience providing individualized guidance that supports meaningful life and career decisions.
  • Comfort with heartfelt, one-on-one conversations in intimate settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a confident in-person presence.
  • Hunger to connect the right people with the right opportunities—driven by purpose, not pressure.
  • Initiative to pursue leads and build connections without relying on rigid workflows or daily task lists.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in psychology, education, coaching, or recruitment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
  • Experience representing a mission-driven organization in external settings.

    Application and Onboarding Process

    Phase 1 : Interviews

  • Select applicants are invited to a 15-minute, video-enabled, initial interview.
  • Top candidates are invited to a 30-minute second interview either in person at one of our locations or by video conference depending upon the location and scope of the position.
  • Final candidate(s) are invited to a stage of mutual diligence in which both the candidate and the University verify there is a mutual good fit. Candidates will have the opportunity to review various structure and culture materials to gain a sense of how Meridian operates, and this stage may also include assessments tailored to the job requirements.
  • Phase 2 : Project-Based Contract

  • After the mutual diligence stage, if there is a mutual interest, candidates are offered the opportunity to participate in a paid multi-week contract where they will contribute actual work.
  • After a successful set of project deliverables, candidates are extended a written full-time onsite offer for their review.
  • Phase 3 : Onboarding

  • On their first day, full-time team members are assigned an onboarding manager and are given access to a role-specific checklist which acts a guide through Meridian’s four-week onboarding process.
  • In their first week, team members onboard into technical and facilities systems and otherwise learn how to engage as a Meridian team member. They also begin ‘process management’ work and deliver real results.
  • Over their second, third, and fourth weeks, team members complete the onboarding process.
  • Meridian University reserves the right to deviate from the process above in certain circumstances related to specific role recruitments or recruitment needs.
