Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day service needs of assigned client accounts, supporting plan design, administration, renewals, compliance, and acting as the primary contact between clients, carriers, and vendors. The ideal candidate will bring strong benefits knowledge, excellent relationship management skills, professional communications and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for clients on all employee benefits matters, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits and financial products.
- Manage the full client lifecycle, including onboarding, renewals, open enrollment, and ongoing support.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve claims issues, billing discrepancies, and service requests.
- Assist with benefits plan design, benchmarking, and financial analysis to support client decision-making.
- Ensure client programs remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations (ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Prepare and deliver presentations, employee communications, and enrollment materials.
- Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and update benefits administration platforms / HRIS as needed.
- Stay current on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in employee benefits.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Fully insured and / or Self Insured knowledge.Microsoft Suite proficientStrong skills in Excel is preferred.
Strong knowledge of :Employee benefits laws (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA, etc.)

Bachelor's degree preferred (in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field) but definitely not required.Some employers may accept equivalent work experience in benefits administration, insurance, or HR in place of a degree.State insurance license (Life, Accident & Health) preferred.Professional certifications can strengthen a candidate's profile.Prior experience (3-7 years) in :Employee benefits administration
