Must-Have :

First-time travelers accepted.

Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments may be required as needed by the unit.

Required to work 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period.

Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed.

Description :

Looking for a PCU Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment.

Shifts are 3 nights per week from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15.

Patient ratios are 1 : 5.

The position involves caring for a wide variety of patients, including those with intermediate levels of care, stroke, heart failure, respiratory failure, pneumonia, and post-surgical patients.

Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, GI care including feeding tube management, pre / post-hemodialysis management, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication protocols.

Experience with telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and emergency response is required.

Professional topics include isolation precautions and wound care.

Ideal candidates should have additional skills in respiratory management, including high flow nasal cannula and interpretation of arterial blood gases.

The daily census includes around 30 patients in a unit with 30 rooms.

Interdisciplinary support is provided by various services including pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.

Must maintain compliance with the facility’s policies and procedures.
