Project Manager
An esteemed engineering firm in Garden City is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee aviation fueling projects at major airports including JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark. This role involves managing all aspects of small to medium-sized aviation fueling projects, ensuring efficient communication, and overseeing both technical and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Manage all project communications, ensuring both technical and administrative aspects are handled effectively.
- Monitor and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource needs to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Participate in the development of engineering reports, exhibits, calculations, and designs as required.
- Assist with document control activities to maintain project organization and compliance.
- Support construction administration services, including handling RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and other documents generated by bidders, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Participate in internal and external project coordination meetings and conduct construction observation site visits.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.5-10 years of experience in project management and construction management.Proficiency with EIT / FE, AutoCAD, fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, pipeline construction, and aviation / airport fuel pipeline engineering.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the oil and gas industry.Strong knowledge of change order processes.Work Environment
This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with Mondays and Fridays at home and Tuesdays through Thursdays in-office. Employees enjoy 15 days of PTO and 7 holidays annually. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $76.92 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
