  • Simplify relentlessly. Turn complexity into simplicity. Optimize CI / CD pipelines, write maintainable code, craft minimalist architectures, and power scalable, future‑proof solutions.

Qualifications

  • Reasoning ability. Solve complex problems with first‑principles thinking and sharpen ideas. Resist biases and take care of critical details.
  • Drive. Ambition in everything you do; initiative, effort, and tenacity match your ambition. Feel deeply responsible and hold yourself to a high, rising bar.

  • Proficiency in English. Read, write, and speak proficiently in English.
  • Benefits

  • Incredibly talented, entrepreneurial teams. Work in small, result‑oriented, autonomous teams alongside the brightest people in your field.
  • An exceptional opportunity for growth. Hire outstanding potential individuals and place them in ideal roles to thrive. Spooners in their 20s lead products worth hundreds of millions of dollars; soon you’ll play an essential role in major projects.

Compensation varies by location, expected impact, and grows rapidly. Receive pay in equity at discounted price. If relocating to Italy, enjoy a 50% tax cut.
  • All. These. Benefits. Flexible hours, remote working, unlimited learning, top‑market health insurance, rich relocation package, generous parental support, yearly retreat. We help each Spooner set up the best working conditions.

    Permanent or fixed‑term. Full‑time.

    Location

Milan (Italy), London (UK) or remote.

    Selection process

After screening, take tests assessing unfamiliar problem approach. Tests take several hours. If successful, invite to interviews. We set a high bar and don’t extend an offer until convinced. A job may stay open for months or be reposted several times.

Studies suggest women tend not to apply if CV isn’t perfect—talent takes precedence over experience. If you like the role and think you could be awesome, apply.

    Equal opportunity statement

Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We consider any applicant for employment and provide reasonable accommodations for an individual with disabilities—just let us know through this form.

    Before you apply

If you’ve applied before but didn’t receive an offer, recommend waiting at least one year before applying again.

Bending Spoons is a demanding environment. Extremely ambitious, high standards. Learning, achievement, career growth, but requires commitment.

To ramp up quickly, we recommend 3 months working from Milan office regardless of long‑term location. Best way to absorb culture, build trust. Support travel and accommodation. After that, work from offices in Milan or London, or remotely from approved countries—depending on agreement at offer stage.

If the role speaks to you and you’re excited to give your best, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now—we can’t wait to meet you.
