Estimator - Concrete, Wastewater

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator for our Concrete projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for projects related to concrete construction and wastewater treatment facilities. This role requires a keen understanding of construction processes, materials, and cost estimation techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete and wastewater projects
Analyze project plans and specifications to identify key quantities and requirements
Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift to enhance estimating accuracy
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project goals
Review and revise estimates based on project changes or new information
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Provide support during the bidding process and assist in the selection of subcontractors

Qualifications

Proven experience as an estimator in concrete, heavy civil and / or wastewater

Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and relevant regulations

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred

Proficiency in estimating software, particularly Bluebeam and PlanSwift

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
