Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state

At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

BLS certification (AHA) required

Preferred certifications : ACLS, PALS, TNCC

Successful completion of health screenings and competency tests

Excellent communication and critical thinking skills

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department

Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs based on acuity

Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Accurately document patient care and clinical findings

Support patients and families during critical and emergent situations

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
