About The Position

Experience : 2 years current Med Surg experience

License : Massachusetts Nursing License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have : Basic Dysrhythmia course completion

Description :

Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload.

Requests for time off after upload will not be approved.

No more than five days of requested time off will be accepted, with fewer being better.

For holiday coverage, travelers are required to work two of the following holidays :

Thanksgiving and the following Friday / weekend,

Christmas Eve / Christmas Day and the following Friday / weekend,

New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day and the following Friday / weekend.

Extensions that are requested to end in November or before the holidays in December will not be considered for an extension at the beginning of 2026.

Travelers must be willing to float to any Med Surg unit.

The facility will not consider block scheduling.

COVID vaccination (dose date on or after 10 / 3 / 23) is now required.

Exemption forms are available.

If approved for exemption, traveler will wear a mask at all times while on site.

Unit size is 20 to 34 beds, depending upon the unit.

Patient ratio is typically 1 : 6.

Dress code is personal scrubs of any color.

The traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

Any and all requested time off must be included in the profile.

All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission.

The facility will not approve scheduling requests after the time of offer.

Profiles must include work history and skills checklist current to one year.

A supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment is required.

This position requires willingness to float and tele experience is required.

Meditech Expanse experience is strongly preferred.

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be in hand at profile upload; the facility will not pend either of these certifications.

Every other weekend and holidays may be required as needed.
