Research Project
This opportunity focuses on the drivers and impacts of agricultural land use transitions. The unit's research examines the contribution of regional food systems to environmental sustainability, economic viability, and nutrition. The fellow will study how dairy farm consolidation and declining milk consumption may affect northeastern agricultural land use and opportunities for alternative enterprises.
The fellow will characterize land use trends using data collection, geospatial modeling, and statistical analysis to identify impacts and opportunities for regional production, local economies, and food access.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate should have received or be currently pursuing a doctoral degree in one of the relevant fields. Degree should be received within the past five years or anticipated to be received by the appointment start date.
