Access Coordinator
We are expanding our team to serve the needs of our community in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area! Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for an Access Coordinator (AC) position at our Camdenton Dental clinic!
COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden and Miller counties for over 40 years. Our goal is to provide the highest quality, affordable healthcare to the communities we serve. COMC is looking for a mission-driven team member who is comfortable working with patients with diverse backgrounds. Applicant must be a motivated, self-starter able to quickly adapt to new and changing conditions while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities
The Access Coordinator is responsible for basic clerical tasks such greeting patients and visitors, and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner. Exhibits and promotes COMC mission, vision, and values in every interaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications Requirements
The Access Coordinator must have the ability to plan and organize assignments and be self-motivating. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure. Must possess patience in dealing with all people. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, vendors and all members of the public. Must be proficient with computers. Outgoing personality and outstanding customer service skills. Must be willing to comply with the requirements of the CMS Mandate.
Education and / or experience : GED or High School diploma. Previous experience in a medical office desirable. Due to the CMS Mandate our staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
Language Skills : Ability to communicate clearly and respond to common inquiries or complaints from all customers. Outgoing personality with strong phone etiquette skills, outstanding customer service skills. Fluency in the English language is required. Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply.
Data Entry Skills : Ability to learn, navigate, and enter data into a computer software system. Proficient with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
Mathematical Skills : Balancing daily log and bank deposit slip; calculating payments, co-pays, and slide fee schedules.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
