Position Summary
Credit One Bank is looking for a Senior Collections Manager to direct and mentor the Collections department’s team managers and leads. The post-holder will monitor collection behaviors and initiate strategic enhancements to improve department performance.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Create and maintain an efficient and goal-oriented environment that will motivate internal staff to meet agreed upon performance standards
- Assist in the creation and execution of specified collection metrics (e.g., production, performance, and quality)
- Create, execute, and document due diligence to ensure compliance of department
- Provide leadership on departmental initiatives to enhance collection results and portfolio performance
- Adhere to quality standards and complaint reduction measures
- Actively challenge current processes to enhance departmental efficiencies
- Participate in the hiring, training, and development of new employees
- Responsible for the coordination and direction of departmental proposals and projects
- Effectively communicate with senior management on all facets of the business unit
- Monitor and review team manager coaching completion and effectiveness
- Call handling audits to validate proper process adherence of outbound calls in the collections department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
College education preferredCollection experience and 3-5 years of management experience requiredAdvanced skill and confidence to identify and meet business needs with little or no directionClear understanding and knowledge of FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)Excellent interpersonal, project management, written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze data and interpret trend patternsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointOrganizational and time management skills requiredSignificant “floor walking” as business needs dictateContinual coaching and development of supervisors and involvement in the coaching and development of representativesCredit One Bank, N.A. is a data-driven financial services company based in Las Vegas.
