Join a mission-driven team where your clinical skills help make a real difference. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physicians to perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) Examinations and Separation Health Assessments (SHA) for Veterans and transitioning service members.

This role is ideal for providers who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and ready to support Veterans through careful documentation and evaluation—not treatment or long hours in a clinical setting.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Conduct Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs) for Veterans filing for service-connected conditions
  • Perform Separation Health Assessments (SHA) for service members exiting the military
  • Complete thorough history-taking and physical examinations
  • Review and interpret medical records, labs, and diagnostic results
  • Document findings clearly and submit reports through a secure, cloud-based EHR
  • Provide objective medical opinions based on clinical evaluation

Position Details :

  • Monday to Friday schedule, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM (you can leave the site 2 hours early to finish charting remotely)
  • See 1 Veteran or 4–6 Veterans per day, depending on exam complexity
  • Exams typically last 1.5 to 3 hours, occasionally longer
  • No treatment or follow-up care required
  • All equipment provided by the client
  • Credentialing takes approximately 4–6 weeks
  • Candidate Requirements :

  • Active and unrestricted NP license in MI
  • 2+ years experience of working as a NP already
  • Nurse Practitioners must have a Collaborative Practice Agreement in place (required for restricted practice states)
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working with EHR systems
  • Previous experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or occupational health is helpful but not required
