About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Tech

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Interventional Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 5x8-Hour

Hours per Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum 2 years of scrub experience

License : Must have a valid state license

Certifications : ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, Fluoro Permit

Must-Have :

Experience with cerebral and neurovascular procedures is preferred.

Must be familiar with GE and Siemens fluoroscopy rooms.

Candidate must be able to scrub cases and be familiar with wires.

Experience in vascular Interventional Radiology including endografts, neurovascular, and trauma.

Description :

The position is for an Interventional Radiology Tech.

The work schedule consists of 5x8 hour shifts.

Typical shift hours are from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, but on-call hours are from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

Call requirements include every 3rd or 4th weekend and 1 day a week, except the 7th week when there will be a full week of call.

Weekend coverage is only required for on-call weekends.

Holiday coverage will depend on the specific start date and may require additional availability.

The department is a busy Thrombectomy Stroke Center.

The focus is on providing care for stroke and trauma patients.

Daily census ranges from 10 to 20 patients.

Experience should include a variety of procedures such as angiography, thrombectomy, and interventional techniques.

Candidates should have the ability to scrub a variety of cases and experience with thrombectomy devices for strokes is highly desirable.

Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and equipment is essential.

Candidates must have a strong ability to monitor patients accurately and maintain a sterile environment.

The use of charting software such as Cerner is required.

The selected candidate will work closely with a team that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

This role also requires flexibility to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed.
