Title : Cook.

Reports To : Head Cook and Assistant Head Cook

Pay Range : $17-$19 This position also qualifies for tips on top of base hourly pay.

Housing : We do not guarantee housing but housing might be available.

Meals : Meals are included when we have guests on-site

Duration : We are looking for a cook who can work this fall, winter, spring, and through next summer up to when our ranch season ends at the end of October. There is potential for long term employment.

At the Bar W our core focus is connection. We want our guests to have an experience not just a vacation. Cooks must be willing to connect with staff and guests at the ranch.

Personal Requirements :

  • Ability to prioritize details and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good observational and communication skills.
  • Maintain a presentable image in the kitchen and around guests.
  • Serv Safe Food Handler Certification preferred.
  • Live by the Bar W Core Values.

Cooking Requirements :

  • Skill in using commercial kitchen equipment and appliances (flat top grills, convection ovens, dishwashers)
  • Experience in preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner cuisine
  • Experience in batch or buffet style cooking
  • Basic baking and desserts skill and experience
  • Willing and able to follow kitchen Process and Procedures
  • ServSafe or other Food Handling Certification

    • General Responsibilities :

  • This position is responsible for assisting in providing a positive dining experience thru delicious meal options in a timely manner.
  • The Cook assists in the day-to-day organization, preparation, and cooking of meals as well as the day-to-day care, maintenance, and cleanliness of the kitchen, food storage areas, food prep stations, and kitchen equipment.
  • In the off season you may be helping other departments or doing tasks that are not directly related to kitchen duties.

    • The Bar W prioritizes safety so operating and acting with safety as a priority is crucial.
