Responsibilities :

Organizational Location : This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Management Directorate, within one of the Office of Administration locations and assigned based on the agency need. Directs the facilities management and real property programs and activities involving facilities throughout the nation. Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates activities of reporting branches of the division. In coordination with the Chief, directs and oversees all resource functions of the program office to include financial operations, training, communications, and strategic planning. Serves as a principal advisor to agency leadership on all matters related to real property. Develops both short- and long-range programs to house new and / or expanded function areas through knowledge of anticipated growth with the agency.

Supervisory / Managerial Probationary Period : You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.

Qualifications :

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11 : 59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10 / 17 / 2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11 : 59 PM (Eastern Time) on 10 / 17 / 2025. GS-15 : You qualify at the GS-15 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties : Leading subordinate staff engaged in facilities management and resource management matters. Conducting short and long-range planning of space requirements for a large agency or organization. Identifying the impact and implications of sensitive decisions on various programs or organizations. Developing and implementing policy as it relates to real property management and facilities management.
