PARTS TIG WELDER

Tig Welders are responsible for building / fabricating, measuring / cutting and tig welding doors, gates, dividers, windows and many other trailer components. It’s a physically active job which requires reading blueprints & diagrams, working at a steady pace and being on your feet all day. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, sample parts and written / verbal work instructions to construct and assemble components of trailer assemblies using electric, pneumatic and hand-powered tools, Mig and / or Tig welding equipment
• Verify conformance of product with the appropriate specifications and standards from work order and drawings
• Measure, mark, cut and machine parts on machines such as tube bender, bandsaw, plasma torch or other machines
• Confer and collaborate with other sheeters / welders and / or supervisors to resolve any product or process problems
• Adhere to and sustain lean manufacturing processes including but not limited to 5-S, Point of Use Storage, Kanban systems, etc. in order to maintain productivity requirements and a clean, safe work area
• Float to other departments at any time as needed by the Company
• Follow all policies and procedures as directed by Cimarron Trailers
• Ensure quality product is completed in a timely manner.
• Regular attendance is a critical function of this job
• Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
