We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our newly launched H2 Center of Excellence (COE) near Boston, MA.
Job Summary
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in our R&D and production process. You'll be responsible for assembling, processing material and maintaining electrolyzer equipment used in hydrogen production. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to safety will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble Electrolyzer Units : Follow detailed assembly instructions to put together sub-assemblies and final assembly of electrolyzer stack.
- Perform material processing and ensure proper alignment, tightness, and functionality of all parts.
- Conduct quality checks to verify the integrity of the assembled units and perform factory acceptance tests.
- Operate and maintain equipment : Use manual and power tools as required in assembly and validation work; operate material handling equipment; operate manufacturing machinery related to electrolyzer production; perform routine maintenance tasks; troubleshoot issues.
- Quality Control : Inspect finished electrolyzer units for defects, report discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of inspections and test results; create manufacturing documentation.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols, handle hazardous materials if required, use PPE, and work with the team to meet production targets.
- Cleanliness and Organization : Keep the work area clean and organized; dispose of waste properly; follow 5S principles.
Requirements
Associate degree or high school / vocational degree with experience preferredTwo (2) or more years of related work experience; experience in a technology manufacturing environment is highly preferredHigh degree of manual dexterity and mechanical aptitudeAbility to work overtime as assigned and maintain a flexible schedule around manufacturing demandAbility to operate a computer and perform computer transactions accuratelyQuality focused and detail-orientedTeam player with positive communicationMust be able to stand and / or sit for long periodsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassistedCapable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionTravel up to 25% when requiredFull Time Benefits
