Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital on the Labor and Delivery unit Care for a culturally diverse and high-risk obstetrics patient population RNs are required to circulate during cesarean sections Night shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts from 18 : 00 to 06 : 30 Required to work every other weekend Floating required within the hospital, to like units, and to affiliate hospitals nearby Uses Epic EMR system, prior experience required No on-call responsibilities Care for laboring mothers and assist with deliveries including high-risk patients All travelers are expected to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliated facilities as needed Scrub attire is any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy Free parking is provided on the first day, permanent parking given during orientation RTO must be included at time of submission; limited RTO is preferred Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, with average of 16 hours required Local candidates are accepted but must meet the 50-mile radius rule Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 1 year recent Labor and Delivery RN experience Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP Previous experience circulating for cesarean sections Epic charting experience required Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years in a comparable setting Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility First-time travelers will be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621436.
