The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening for a full-time, board-certified / eligible Interventional Cardiologist. You'll enjoy a unique combination of two great American heritages : a little Cajun, and since we're less than 15 minutes from the Texas border, a little Lone Star, too. Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans. Highlights of this position include :
- Competitive Starting Salary $325,000 – $390,000
- Work Schedule : Mon-Fri, 8am-4 : 30pm., may be required to work unscheduled hours in case of an emergency or when on call
- Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
- Perform standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, etc.
- Duties will include clinical practice, and teaching Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical student
- Position includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
- Board certified at least once in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology
- Experience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred. Structural heart disease intervention and / or venous intervention training desirable
