We're currently seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. This is a part-time permanent position requiring 20-25 hours per week. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks, including managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical skills, and attention to detail.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

Manage all financial transactions, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets.

Prepare and maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.

Prepare preliminary financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.

Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system.

Assist in the preparation of monthly / yearly closings.

Assist with other accounting projects, as needed.

Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

Process payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely completion.

Perform job costing functions, including tracking costs and providing detailed cost reports.

Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and procedures.

Qualifications :

Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.

Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.

Accuracy and attention to detail.

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Ability to handle high volumes of data.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

High level of integrity and dependability.

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.

Excellent data entry skills.

Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
