JOB SUMMARY :
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the mechanical design of the assigned projects. Specifically, this position will utilize expert knowledge and skills in the design and engineering of mechanical HVAC and plumbing systems. This position is responsible for identifying and providing solutions to mechanical engineering problems. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will initiate conceptual designs subject to the review and approval of the Mechanical Engineer Team Lead, engineering Manager, and Preconstruction Manager.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for the mechanical HVAC and plumbing design, engineering, and specifications for the project.
- Organize the engineering effort required to facilitate the project from initial concept through completion.
- Make any adjustments to calculations, drawings, and specifications as required by the team lead mechanical engineer
- Must be familiar with the project's scope of work, engineering hours budget, and construction budget
- Utilize knowledge of best engineering practices, mathematics, materials, and other physical sciences to complete the drawings.
- Inform the team lead mechanical engineer of project scope.
- Perform site surveys and equipment assessments
- Provide project engineering coordination during construction as assigned
- Other tasks assigned within the scope of this role

QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of three (3) years' mechanical engineering experience with a consulting engineering firm.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus, but not requiredValid driver's license and reliable transportationWillingness to travel to worksites, up to 25% of the timeKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
