Chemical Operator – I
We are looking to add a motivated & compassionate chemical operator to our Tedia team to work out of our Fairfield, Ohio location. We are a customer-driven company that provides high-purity solvents for life science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, laboratory, and industrial applications. This individual must possess a solid understanding of chemical processes and mechanics. You can expect to work as an integral part of the production team and may be responsible for retrieving, weighing and mixing chemical ingredients, monitoring equipment during the chemical process, record information and assist in the planning and improvement of processes or products by complying with all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations.

Core Responsibilities :
Assure safety requirements are known and followedUse proper PPE for assigned tasksNotify supervisor immediately of any safety related issuesSet up and dismantle filling equipmentBlend chemicals for DNA blendsProcess chemicals for Anhydrosolv solventsUse instrumentation : GC (Assay), UV spectrophotometer (Optical Absorbance), and KF (water) to analyze in-process samplesClean filling equipment, holding tanks, totes, reactors, and pumps according to procedureOrganize the production equipment in designated areasSubmit samples to the lab for analysis according to procedureBe highly aware of quality issues and BOMFill drums, totes, bottles, and RC's according to BOMUnload and charge tankers (bulk material) following the given instructionsClean and pack columns with adsorbent material and activate the columnSteam waste adsorbent material for disposalAssist Chemical Operators with charging reactors and with other requirementsHandle waste according to the established proceduresComplete the cleaning record formQualifications
Having knowledge and / or experience with chemistry and math knowledge is preferredIndependent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, and problem-solving skills are essentialManufacturing experienceEducation Requirements :
High school diploma or G.E.D. requiredSeniority Level : Entry level Chemical Operator I; non-exempt
Employment Type : Full-time, 12 hour shifts-rotating schedule with rotating weekends.
