Job Description

The Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) Network Control Technician is responsible for administration, maintenance, and cybersecurity defense of all Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) client, server, and network infrastructure used to support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the NITE.

The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices used throughout the enterprise. Additional duties include performing Microsoft Windows client / server administration, maintenance, patching, configuring systems in compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), and other duties as assigned. Individual must be able to work independently and work within a team.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows desktop environments (including WIN10 SHB)
• Manage patching and updates for Microsoft servers and workstations
• Troubleshoot network issues, particularly in Cisco environments
• Implement and maintain DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Utilize tools like VMware, SolarWinds, and enterprise patching systems
• Ensure system performance and security through proactive monitoring and maintenance
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and enhance system reliability
