About The Position
We are seeking a Surgery - Cardiovascular & Thoracic Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Nov 10, 2025, with a 42-day duration and offers a Monday through Friday schedule featuring day shifts and evening call, plus weekend coverage as needed. The role involves daily rounding on ICU and stepdown inpatients, managing new consults, and handling patient discharges. Candidates should be comfortable managing a broad range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases and procedures.

- Monday–Friday : 6 am–4 : 30 pm (regular), 4 : 30 pm–7 pm (call)
- Saturday–Sunday : 6 am until work is done, call from 5 pm–7 pm
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct daily rounding on all inpatients, including ICU and stepdown unitsManage new consults and facilitate patient dischargesOversee an average daily caseload of 10–15 patients, with a total census typically between 20–30 patientsParticipate in both scheduled and on-call shifts as outlinedPerform procedures and manage cases within the cardiovascular and thoracic surgery specialtyUtilize Cerner EMR for patient documentationAdditional Information
