job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork in the Cardiac Renal Med / Surg Tele unit of a hospital Unit size is 34 beds with a night shift patient ratio of 1 : 6-7 Provides care to post-cardiac procedure patients, A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes, and behavioral health / detox cases Uses Epic for charting; recent Epic experience required 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 30 pm to 7 : 00 am Rotating schedule with three weekends required every six weeks and every other holiday First to float within skillset, with float locations including Deaconess Midtown (8 miles away) and Deaconess Henderson (11 miles away); 2-hour notice for cross-campus float Mid-shift floating possible within same campus, cross-campus mid-shift floating is unlikely but possible No on-call or call back responsibilities Responsibilities include advanced cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, post-procedure recovery, and behavioral health / detox management Team has strong unit leadership and offers support, with charge nurses taking patient assignments May be required to precept students and new hires as a teaching hospital Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos Up to three call-ins may result in termination COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required but is subject to change Active RN compact license required AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum two years of strong cardiac / telemetry experience required At least one prior travel assignment and trauma level II experience required Must have recent Epic EMR experience and will be required to complete a checkoff class Skill in tele / 12-lead EKG interpretation required; travelers must pass telemetry tests Competency in recovering heart catheterization patients, PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management, drip management for cardiac and other medications, CBI, detox / CIWA protocol, and central line care Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required No local candidates; must live more than 40 miles from the facility High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
