Job Description

Are you passionate about the prevention / treatment of infectious diseases? Opelousas General Health System is seeking a dedicated  Full-Time Infectious Disease Physician  to join our skilled team. Residents / Fellows are encouraged to apply!

Employed Physician Incentives :

  • Malpractice- Paid by Hospital
  • CME Allowance ($4,000 / year)
  • 30 Days of Paid Time Off, 5 days of Extended Illness Time and 5 CME days per year
  • Retirement 3 components

457b-tax deferred

  • Social Security Replacement (7.65% of Physician's Salary)
  • Hospital Contributes 5% of Physician's Salary into Retirement Account
  • Health Benefits- 1st of the month following start date.

  • Cover Infectious Disease, Employee Health and Antimicrobial Stewardship
  • Inpatient Consults, Limited Outpatient Clinic, and Outpatient Infusion Clinic
  • Schedule : Monday-Friday (8AM 5PM)
  • Patient Diversity (dynamic & fulfilling patient care experience)
  • Opportunity to be involved in Academics through teaching Medical Students
  • 2 hours from New Orleans; 3 hours from Houston
  • 30 minutes to Lafayette Airport with direct flights to Dallas, Houston, Atlanta & Charlotte
