• Air Pollution Control Officer : $115,731 - $140,691 DOE / DOQ
• Deputy Air Pollution Control Officer : $93,641 - $113,817 DOE / DOQ

The Mendocino County Air Quality Management District is seeking qualified candidates for either the Air Pollution Control Officer or Deputy Air Pollution Control Officer position to lead and support our organization. The team manages nine staff, with an operational budget of approximately $1.5 million and over $1.8 million in grant programs.

Both roles involve overseeing policies and procedures that comply with current laws and regulations, and championing initiatives such as securing grant funding for California's electric vehicle transition. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of engineering, science, and mathematics principles to review emissions calculations, and excellent interpersonal skills including public speaking, relationship building, and collaboration.
