Shipping / Rec. Assoc I

Responsible for the visual sorting and packaging of fasteners. This is a full-time position with overtime potential. Additional responsibilities will be to safely load and unload trucks, as well as move material within the facility both from racked locations and loading platforms by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks or other material-handling equipment. Minimal clerical work is also required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Reporting to : Warehouse Manager

Essential Job Functions :

• Schedules all shipments using LTL carriers, customer websites, and working with broker for parts shipping international - Ability to make several phone calls a day to schedule shipments with LTL carriers
• Creates customs invoices for international shipments
• Verifies sales orders are correct with release dates and quantities to ship are accurate. Follows shipping instructions per the customer po's before shipping parts
• Receives and scans all incoming / outgoing shipment documents into MRP / ERP system
• Assists with information for counts, weights, and measurements for outgoing shipments.
• Creates BOL, packing slips, and other documents needed to ship.
• Pulls and reviews pick lists to provide to shipping team to get orders ready to ship
• Uses UPS and FEDEX small package for label making
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Conducts physical inventory - Assist with conducting cycle counts as required and reporting discrepancies to warehouse manager
• Communicates and works with teams within and outside the department
• Other duties as assigned
