Armed Security Guard - Government Site - Full Time

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring assigned areas and responding to situations as they arise. Pay Rate : $35.41 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Wed 06 : 45 AM - 07 : 00 PM

Thur 12 : 45 PM - 07 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 45 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sat 06 : 45 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site protocols.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the government facility environment.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and / or military roles.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Possess a valid California weapons permit with a 9 millimeter caliber endorsement.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
