Description :

The CNC Set-up Operator works independently to set up, and operating metal-cutting machinery to build tools and parts needed for production of leveling system

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and / or update setup sheets and job instructions
• Design, modify, and optimize CNC programs to efficiently manufacture products to specifications
• Review routing and prints for accuracy; notify supervisor and engineering of needed changes, updates and improvements
• Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut
• Set up, start up, and / or operate miscellaneous equipment including various machine tools, lead cutter, drill press, arbor press, hydraulic press, glue station, winding equipment, ovens, lathes, and other hand and power tools required for assembly and rework operations
• Perform first article inspection as needed
• Specify perishable tooling needed to complete jobs
• Use lean tools to correct out-of-control processes
• Assists maintenance to correct machine malfunctions and test and operate equipment to ensure functionality and performance
• Aids supervisors, engineers, lean associates, and others to resolve problems
• Team player attitude with ability to lead and work with other associates and promote continuous improvement and a positive working environment
• Complete required paperwork in timely and accurate manner
• Maintain machine tools according to PM schedule
• Promote a safe working environment and keep work area neat, clean, and orderly

Requirements :

Ideal candidates will have :

Minimum of 5 years experence

Ability to interpret technical drawings

Problem Solving skills
