Area Supervisor Domestic Security

Overview :

SOC is looking for Area Security Supervisors for a Government contract in New Mexico.

Locations : Albuquerque, NM & Las Cruces, NM

Position is contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities :

• Provides direct supervision of protective security officer (PSO) employees to include Alarm Monitors, fixed and roving PSOs, and PSOs assigned access control, screening, and badging duties. Supervise assigned employees, based on assigned location. Directs, trains, monitors and coordinates PSO daily responsibilities. Initiates and serves disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
• Oversee Security operations ensuring all employees are performing all duties in accordance with customer requirements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and company policies, and regulations. Reviews and finalizes reports for incidents that occur in their assigned areas. Reports violations of any policies or procedures to management. Conducts periodic, on-the-job training to PSOs as required by the contract's training plan.
• Responds to various reported incidents including but not limited to; firearms at posts, investigations, trespassers, civil disturbances, hostile intruders, alarms, etc. During emergency situations often assumes role of Incident Commander and coordinates PSOs activities with first responders. Leads investigations for any incidents involving SOC or Government property.
• Creates schedules for operations including assigning overtime in accordance with the respective Union's Collective Bargaining Agreement, and coordinates with Training Manager to develop Training and Operations schedules for all work locations on the contract for their respective area.
• Assists in the review and improvement of work methods, SOP's, organizational features, and structure to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of the Contract Manager when the Contract Manager is unable to respond to the customer or on leave.

Qualifications :

We expect this position will be included in the recent federal Executive Order (EO) and subsequent guidance, requiring federal contractors and employers with more than 100 employees to implement a vaccine mandate; therefore, it is expected that anyone hired into this position will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencement of employment in accordance with the EO and any subsequent guidance, unless an accommodation is legally required.
