LHH is actively looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Receivable / Billing Specialist to join one of our top client’s team! If you enjoy problem-solving, digging into the numbers, and playing a key role in cash flow and collections—especially in a healthcare setting—this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows their way around billing systems, and brings a strong sense of ownership to managing receivables.
Manage billing and collections, including generating invoices, applying payments, and following up on past-due accounts
Reconcile accounts, research unapplied or misapplied payments, and investigate discrepancies
Work with AR aging reports to identify trends, prioritize collections, and resolve claim denials
Utilize ERP and billing systems such as WellSky , Waystar , Instamed , or similar platforms
Confidently use Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs), Outlook , and Teams
Home Health billing experience is a plus but not required
Identify and resolve discrepancies between payments and invoices
Investigate chargebacks, short-pays, and disputes, ensuring proper reconciliation
Review contracts and understand variations between billed vs. paid amounts
Communicate professionally via email, phone, and chat with customers, payers, and internal teams
Tactfully collect overdue payments while maintaining strong relationships
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues quickly and accurately
✅ Attention to Detail & Organization :
Work through claim denials and disputes with a high level of accuracy
Keep meticulous notes on accounts and follow-ups
Prioritize AR based on aging and risk, managing a high volume of accounts efficiently
Dependable and consistent in follow-through—cash flow depends on you!
Persistent in resolving outstanding balances and willing to dig deep to get answers
Handle sensitive financial and patient data with discretion and integrity
Adaptable to changing systems, tools, and workflows
Understand insurance billing processes, denials, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Familiarity with Single Case Agreements, Letters of Agreement, or payer contracts is a bonus
Respond to customer / patient inquiries quickly and with professionalism
Resolve billing concerns with patience and a positive attitude
Work closely with internal departments to address and resolve complex cases
Pay Details : $20.00 to $23.28 per hour
