Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Dietary Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in managing dietary departments within assisted living facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive optimal nutritional care tailored to their individual needs. The Certified Dietary Manager will be responsible for overseeing dietary operations, implementing care plans, and providing health coaching to residents.

  • Job Location- Larimore, North Dakota (On-site)
  • Shift - 8
  • 13-week contract
  • Pay -$1700 to $1800 weekly Gross

Responsibilities

  • Supervise food service staff, ensuring quality performance, productivity, and adherence to standards.
  • Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, counseling, and performance reviews in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Oversee and maintain adequate staffing levels and coordinate employee schedules to meet department needs.
  • Order, manage, and maintain inventory of food supplies to align with planned healthcare menus.
  • Develop, test, and implement standardized recipes within nutrition and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure proper food presentation, sanitation practices, and taste quality.
  • Conduct department meetings and follow-ups to address team updates or concerns.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, families, and students to provide excellent service and communication.
  • Demonstrate conflict resolution, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local food safety and healthcare regulations (including HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Promote continuous improvement using quality management tools and methodologies.
  • Operate basic office equipment and systems related to food service management.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food service or food production industry (Required)
  • If not currently certified, CDM may be required within 2 years of hire, depending on department needs.
  • Food Handler's Certification (May be required depending on state / local requirements)
  • Must obtain ServeSafe Certification within one year of hire if required by the facility.
