Network / Systems Administrator II
The primary function will be to organize, install, and support government organization's computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. The role includes helping architect, design and analyze network models, and participating in decisions about future hardware or software upgrades. The position may provide technical support to users and will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) for DoD agencies such as HQ Air Force, OSD, and Military Compartments, providing day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform with little to no oversight
- Lead IT operations team on day-to-day management and operations of networks and implement capabilities vetted through Cybersecurity, ISSE and higher headquarters to maintain RMF / JSIG Authority to Operate and Continuous Monitoring processes
- Manage COTS & GOTS products to collect, display and remediate automated system security and operations / performance metrics
- Assist during security assessments of servers, network devices, and security appliances
- Assist during security assessments with regard to accuracy and efficiency
- Create operational O&M checklists (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly); build TTPs and SOPs for service checklists
- Manage and operate monitoring tools / SIEM; create / tailor event alarms, rules and summary reports
- Execute cybersecurity operations procedures for day-to-day network management, operations and maintenance
- Monitor / analyze output of cybersecurity tools for security incidents and residual risk
- Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes
- Work as part of a security incident response team as needed
- Assist ISSM / ISSO / ISSE with integration / development of techniques to improve Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability across classifications
- Demonstrate advanced technical competency in platforms such as Windows Server, AD, Red Hat, hypervisors, enterprise networking / firewalls / IDS / IPS, forensic analysis, vulnerability assessment, GPO management, scripting, databases, and web servers

The anticipated compensation range for this position is approximately $82,365 - $111,435. Final salary will consider education, certifications, experience, and other factors. Watermark offers a robust benefits package and wellness program in addition to base compensation.
