Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator.
Responsibilities
Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locationsCollect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specificationsDetermine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costsGather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible pricesCreate and submit estimates to project managersBudget and forecast using appropriate softwareCareer driven individual who seeks opportunity within an organization that can help you develop personally and professionallyExperience preparing estimates for construction rebuild projects and markets construction services to the customerKnowledge of production and processingExperience with raw material, waste, quality control, costs and techniques for maximizing project revenueKnowledge of building and construction (includes materials and methods needed to complete projects successfully)Ability to read and understand project specifications, plans and blueprintsKnowledge of design technique, principles and tools to complete projectKnowledge of the principals involved in showing, promoting, and selling servicesOutstanding communication skillsProvides customer service that is above and beyond needs and expectationsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsStrong problem-solving skillsWorks well with a team and individuallyAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentPunctual and dependableProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, or related softwareCan operate a smart deviceTakes pride in their uniform and what it stands forA safe driver with a clean driving recordQualifications
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is preferredPrevious experience as an Estimator is preferredAbility to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulasStrong mathematical and analytical skillsSkilled in relevant software Proficiency with Xactimate estimating softwareExcellent research, writing, and negotiation skillsPrior experience with TPA (Sedgewick, Contractor Connection) a PLUSIICRC certifications are a PLUSBachelor's (Preferred)Insurance restoration industry experience : 3+ yearsPass a background check & drug testA valid driver’s license
