About the Role
- Perform diagnostic radiological exams utilizing advanced imaging equipment, verifying patient identity and reviewing medical records for exam appropriateness.
- Interview patients to obtain medical history, assess risk factors, and explain procedures, including side effects and follow-up instructions.
- Set up equipment, acquire images, and review results, documenting exceptions and communicating data to radiologists.
- Provide post-care instructions and participate in quality improvement activities within the radiology practice.
- Offer imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
Key Qualifications
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required.
