job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor's Degree in accounting preferred, may consider demonstrated experience in lieu of degree Two+ year's experience in hotel or hospitality experience a plus Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Effective organizational, stress and time management skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently or as a team member Passionate about contributing to process improvement Collaborate with other staff accountants to promote continuity and understanding of operations Ability to work with a diverse group of people Customer service and negotiation skills Experience with Netsuite a plus
Corporate Accounting Analyst
The Corporate Accounting Analyst will assist in the corporate general ledger accounting functions.
Position Description
- Prepare and analyze consolidated corporate financial statements on a monthly basis
- Review daily / nightly journal entries and their effect on the general ledger
- Prepare monthly consolidating entries
- Assist payroll with proper recording of entries
- Work closely with other department personnel to ensure accounts accurately reflect activity
- Assist in the preparation of supporting financial schedules for annual financial statement audit, regulatory filings, and other periodic reporting requirements
- Assist in recording of capital expenditure activity
- Make correcting entries as necessary
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Provide regular and informative communication to management to improve ability to make key business decisions
- Review accounts for accuracy and trend analysis
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Other duties as assigned
