- Interact with all guests and all team members, at all times, in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Callaway standards, as required by scheduling that will vary according to the needs of Callaway Gardens' business levels.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming to include wearing a nametag when working.
- Comply at all times with Callaway standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times with both team members and guests.
- Maintains and suggests updates of all standards for your operation to include server appearance and uniform, attendance, service training to Callaway standards and product knowledge.
- Assist sales and event management in the coordination for banquet functions.
- Assist with conference set up and stewarding to coordinate all banquet functions.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring; planning, assigning and directing work; scheduling team members; appraising performance; rewarding, counseling and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance.
- Has knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures and communicates and enforces all policies fairly and consistently with team members.
- Strives for 100% satisfaction of all guests.
- Fills in wherever is needed to maintain an even flow for a banquet function.
- Conducts pre-shift meetings to train and coordinate the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Attend all meetings / training as required by supervisor or management.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
High School Diploma Required; or at least 3 years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in hotel or related field helpful.Must have a valid driver's license.Physical Requirements :
Long hours are sometimes required.Have a neat appearance.The team member will be required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 30 pounds.Ability to stand for long hours at a time.Mental Requirements :
Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accuratelyBe able to work well in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity, including the ability to listen carefully to and resolve guest issues to the satisfaction of the affected guests.Be able to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during the course of guest visits.Be able to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.Be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic math functions.Be able to convey information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.Qualifications
