Department / Unit Summary\nJoin our Med Surg / Telemetry team, where we provide compassionate care. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, CMAs, CNAs, and Monitor Techs, with a supportive nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 6, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.
How you'll contribute\nThe New Grad assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame under the direct supervision of an RN. The Graduate Nurse provides care to his / her assigned patients utilizing the nursing process while coordinating care with other health care team members. The Graduate Nurse provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.

Qualifications and requirements\nApplicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include : \nGraduate of a School of Nursing Program\nExperience in an acute care facility preferred.\nState permit to practice as a Graduate Nurse.\nCurrent CPR required.\nNRP required within six months of hire.\nFor New Hires : Required certification must be obtained with in (1) year of employment. If currently certified, must maintain current certification.\nCertification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
