Ipo Project Specialist

In this role, you will oversee public offerings and related transaction services; especially in the areas of delivering operational excellence and managing our client engagement across our workplace corporate clients and their participants. This role will coordinate across a multi-disciplinary team with a key focus on project delivery related to how a private company transitions and manages their stock plan as a publicly traded company. Responsibilities
- Interface directly with clients to deliver high-touch, consultative experience, through the complexities of IPO planning, execution, and post-IPO transition
- Support the IPO process by leading end-to-end project managementdeveloping tailored plans and documentation, coordinating across functions, ensuring transparent stakeholder reporting, managing risks, and delivering a consultative, client-focused experience that drives successful execution
- Build and maintain tailored artifacts such as project plans, runbooks, status reports, etc. to manage and execute client events, including maintain command and control of the needs for each unique project
- Work with all functional disciplines impacted by the project to ensure 'end to end' planning is comprehensive and results in a project plan that will achieve stated goals of project
- Document meeting minutes, follow up items, and maintain project charter
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of requirements, assumptions, changes in scope etc. associated with project and establish an audit trail to demonstrate these activities have been addressed
- Provide mechanisms to capture & monitor remediation of any potential risks
- Enable appropriate escalation of any item that may impact timely delivery or cause a change to the agreed scope of project
- Ensure accurate and consistent reporting of activity, across all governance forums outside of direct control
- Develop understanding of complex public company deal structures
Qualifications
BS / BA degree required. Advanced degrees a plusA minimum of 3 years of related professional experience in project managementFINRA Series 7 and FINRA Series 63 LicensingExperience with the Shareworks and / or Equity Edge Online Platforms a plusProfessional experience in management consulting or financial services industry, knowledge of corporate actions preferredOccasional travel may be requiredExperience managing major organizational change programs, such as merger integrations, corporate restructure, and corporate actionsProven ability to manage delivery / execution of a wide range of tasks and initiativesProven experience developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various Business, Technology, Operations and Control partners and stakeholdersAbility to lead and influence cross-functional teams where there is no direct reporting chainExperience supervising staff, including managing workflow, performance evaluations, and providing feedbackStrong written and verbal communications skills, ability to interact at all levels of the organization and tailor messages appropriatelyStrong presentation skills, including ability to create polished PowerPoint presentations for various levels of managementIndependent self-starter who can manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlinesEagerness to learn the business and understand detailed business requirementsHighly skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePointYou are a cultural addition to our team, and bring a diverse perspectiveMorgan Stanley's goal is to build and maintain a workforce that is diverse in experience and background but uniform in reflecting our standards of integrity and excellence.
