Overview

STS Line Maintenance is hiring highly motivated A&P Mechanics to join our growing line maintenance station in Minneapolis, Minnesota. If you're a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Professional who takes pride in precision, safety, and reliability, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Line Maintenance Station Manager and Station Leads
  • Work in close partnership with airline customers, flight crews, and Maintenance Controllers
  • Ensure aircraft are maintained to airworthiness standards prescribed by all applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair transport category aircraft airframes and engines using hand tools and test equipment
  • Maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and integrity
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results while following maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documentation
  • Use precision instruments and equipment to measure parts for wear and repair or replace as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Work outdoors and in inclement weather as required
  • Support maintenance operations on Airbus A320, Boeing B737, B757, B767, CRJ, and Embraer 170 / 190 aircraft

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no history of infractions
  • Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft considered a plus
  • Previous experience on Boeing 737, 757, 767, Airbus A320, ERJ 145 / 170 / 190, or CRJ 700 / 900 aircraft preferred but not required
  • Must own a complete set of standard line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tooling provided)
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and capable of performing duties with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work standing, climb ladders and stairs, and lift 50 lbs. unassisted
  • Must pass a background check and drug and alcohol test
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Customs and Border Protection clearance
  • Basic-to-mid-level computer and organizational skills required
  • Experience working under a FAA Part 145 repair station or Part 135 environment is highly desired
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus
  • Must be able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement of malfunctioning and damaged components
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic with minimal supervision
  • Must be versatile and flexible to support varied schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Superior customer focus, communication skills, and work ethic with a commitment to excellence

  • Determined by previous experience
  • Range : $34 - $42 per hour
