As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll be the face of our practice and the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for every client interaction.

Your role is crucial in delivering exceptional customer service while effectively managing patient registrations and maintaining the smooth operation of the front office.

The Front Office Receptionist will handle patient registration utilizing medical systems, verify patient insurance coverage, and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding service to patients, physicians, and all medical professionals.

Quality customer service experience (in-person and over the phone), greeting clients, answering phones, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, dispensing medications and prescriptions, selling items that may be available behind the counter or in the waiting area, typing skills, knowledge of veterinary software

Calm and compassionate while carrying on a multitude of other tasks; being able to effectively multi-task without becoming frustrated

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a courteous manner, either in person or over the phone, and address inquiries or direct them accordingly.

Record patient arrivals in the Practice Management System and create new accounts for first-time patients.

Prepare necessary paperwork before patient appointments.

Manage appointment scheduling, including rescheduling “No Show” patients and optimizing treatment room utilization.

Respond to patient needs and concerns promptly, especially in emergency situations, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.

Update patient information in the Practice Management System as required

Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

Collect and record patient payments, maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.

Follow company policies and report changes as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

Provide support to team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience :

Strong understanding of animal physiology and veterinary practices.

Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.

Familiarity with kennel management and animal handling techniques.

Experience in laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine.

Proficiency in animal restraint methods to ensure safe handling during examinations.

Knowledge of X-ray procedures and veterinary critical care protocols is advantageous.

Commitment to providing compassionate care to animals in all situations.

Pay : From $18 - 21
