Indirect Materials Procurement And Fulfillment Specialist

In this role, you will support GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy's indirect materials procurement and fulfillment efforts. You will work cross-functionally in close partnership with GE Hitachi (GEH) business teams to execute on key purchasing, ERP and fulfillment operations to accomplish the work within the Sourcing team. You will also work closely with suppliers to ensure overall procurement and fulfillment success.

Roles And Responsibilities

Own of the day-to-day execution of indirect sourcing fulfillment processes.

Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers.

Lead fulfillment activities and allocate needs to specific suppliers as required. Includes Sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support and purchasing activities.

Work with requestors, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to manage supplier day-to-day performance, including order fulfillment, invoice receipt and reconciliation, continuous improvement and problem resolution.

Leverages technical, sourcing and analytic skills to solve emerging fulfillment challenges.

Support, maintain, and update key sourcing tools, processes, and systems including ERP.

Support Lean culture by working cross functionally to improve purchasing process and supporting systems.

Flexibility to support buyer activities such as issuing POs, change notices, resolving supplier order and invoice issues when needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, university or equivalent OR high school diploma with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing.

4 years of professional or military experience in a procurement, financial, technical, operations or project management role. Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system.

Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time as required

Desired Characteristics

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or Business

Previous Sourcing, Project Management, Financial, Engineering, Material Planning, Supply Chain or similar experience

Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), variable labor or other indirect sourcing procurement experience

Knowledge of purchasing practices, principles, and procedures

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and Oracle or SAP Enterprise Resources Planning System (ERP) systems

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills

Effective problem identification and resolution skills

Lean and / or Six Sigma certification or equivalent

The base pay range for this position is $72,700.00 - 96,900.00USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 5% a performance bonus / variable incentive compensation / equity.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
