• Day shift : 7 am-7 pm\n
• Night Shift : 7 pm-7 am\n
• Full-time requires to work every other weekend\n\nJob Responsibilities : \n
• Provide health-related training to the staff and people supported, provide routine nursing assessments, assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled, and be an active participant in each individual's person-centered plan to help them reach their fullest potential.\n
• Interact with staff at the RHA office as well as in the residential homes.\n
• Observing, assessing and evaluating the health needs and conditions of the people we serve\n
• Teaching the people we serve to monitor their health and take their medication as appropriate\n
• Reviewing documentation collected by residential care employees\n
• Perform quality assurance checks and observations to ensure Direct Care Assistants are correctly monitoring the health and safety of the people we serve in residential homes\n
• Serve on the safety committee\n
• Conduct nursing house assessments to ensure medications are stored according to state regulations\n
• Provide enhanced nursing services\n
• Teaching health-related training to direct support staff\n\nRequirements : \n
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred\n
• Valid state RN certification\n
• Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred\n
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance\n
• Ability to lift between 20 and 50 pounds and provide CPR after certification\n
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen\n
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations\n\n#HPNURSE\n\nPre-employment screening : \n
• Complete criminal background\n
• Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)\n
• Drug testing\n
• Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.\n
• Proof of employment history or references (if required)\n
