Associate Therapist (AMFT, ASW, or APCC)
Zen Therapy Behavioral Health Services
Zen Therapy Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Associate Therapist to join our private practice. We welcome applications from Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) , Associate Clinical Social Workers (ASWs) , and Associate Professional Clinical Counselors (APCCs) .
Position Details
Work setting : Hybrid (telehealth and in-person)
Schedule : Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 10 clients per week
In-person requirement : At least one day per week at our office
Employment type : W-2 employee
Compensation : Paid per billable hour and per administrative hour (rate disclosed upon application; compliant with CA pay transparency laws)
Responsibilities
Conduct intake assessments and provide ongoing therapy (individual, couples, and family).
Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and complete administrative tasks related to client care.
Participate in individual supervision and engage in ongoing professional development.
Maintain ethical and professional standards consistent with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
Requirements
Active and current California BBS Associate registration (AMFT, ASW, or APCC).
Proof of current professional liability insurance.
Access to a reliable computer with a camera and microphone for telehealth.
Availability for at least 10 client sessions per week, including one in-person day.
Supervision and Support
Supervision is provided by Zenaida “Zen” McNally, LMFT , an EMDR Certified Therapist experienced in trauma recovery, domestic violence, addiction, and family systems work. Zen provides supervision from a family systems and trauma-informed perspective , supporting clinicians in developing strong, compassionate, and culturally competent therapeutic skills.
Compensation Structure
Billable hours : $45 per billable hour. Paid per completed 53-minute client session.
Administrative time : $20 per administrative hour. 1 paid administrative hour for every 10 clients to cover documentation and other administrative tasks.
Supervision : 1 hour of paid supervision for every 10 clients (compensated at the administrative rate).
