Manages the flow of materials in our Knoxville TN plant to ensure timely production and delivery.This position is accountable for the execution of scheduling the production plan, material purchasing and other supply chain-related activities. Closely monitors and places purchase orders for materials required.Creating monthly production plans and closely monitoring daily production plans to ensure product availability for customer requirements.Responsible for ensuring product supply to fulfill customer demand at 98% or better while adhering to inventory budgetary guidelines and KPI’s.Multi-departmental collaboration – customer care, manufacturing, logistics, quality, demand planning, sourcing, and marketing. Works with suppliers to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Regular attendance is required to maintain the functions of the job.Responsible for analyzing MRP signals for purchasing and production requirements based on sales projections and inventory strategies.Frequently reacting to demand shifts which may require expediting and or de-expediting material timing issues based on needs.Create and maintain the daily and weekly schedules for the month. Creates and releases production orders.Interacts with the shop floor to ensure production is being completed in accordance with the shop floor schedule.Procure the materials needed to support production requirements and purchases finished products from suppliersMeasures / Monitors actual production against the schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for attainment reporting.Adjusting production and purchasing plans to various demand shifts to fulfill customer requirements and optimize inventory position.Works with inventory managers to ensure accuracy of all shop floor inventory. Also, assists with resolution of inventory discrepancies.Identifies and make suggestions for intra-company transfers.Maintains inventory within the defined KPI levelsEngages with inventory strategies, which includes understanding aging inventory parameters, forward looking inventory, reviewing and assisting with master data set up and maintenance.Leads projects related to rework to resolve inventory shortage or slow-moving product challenges.Effectively communicates products needs and challenges to business product managers.Build relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders.Works closely with new product managers when launching new productsIdentify process improvement opportunities related to material planning and inventory managementOTHER FUNCTIONS :
Performs other duties as assignedEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / OTHER SKILLS :
