About the Role
FCA seeks an experienced architect and leader to serve as Project Manager for our New Haven, CT Office. The Project Manager should be an innovative and creative thinker who is able to lead a diverse team and build lasting relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of multiple small to mid-sized projects
- Responsible for the coordination of all administrative and technical efforts of a project
- Assures the most efficient and cost-effective execution
- Estimates fees and determines scope of services with a Principal in Charge
- Prepares work plans with the Principal in Charge, communicates the plan to project team and manages the team to the plan which includes consultants
- Actively manages client budgets, scope and schedules
- Manages all project financial performance indicators through Deltek Vision
- Monitors and controls the project budget and schedule
- Completes weekly timesheet line-item approvals
- Updates / revises work plans monthly
- Is prepared for project review meetings (understands spend and effort to complete)
- Supports the timely invoicing of the work
- Manages Billings and Accounts Receivables
- Prepares timely Additional Service Requests with input from the Principal in Charge
- Deliver the project at or above the expected profit margin
- Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion
- Is an advocate for design excellence with the client, consultants and the firm by fostering a management plan that is structured around design goals
- Executes quality control assurance in the project plan and ensure measures for quality control are included within the project fee
- Is able to demonstrate experience with complex building types, both new construction and renovation projects
Qualifications
BS and / or MS in Architecture, registration preferredLocal to New HavenMinimum 10 years’ experience in architecture with specific concentrations in Science & Technology and Corporate InteriorsMinimum 5 years managing projectsConfidence in role and project detailsAbility to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct and evaluate the work of othersAbility to prioritize work by making informed judgments and to develop solutions for complex problemsStrong communication and presentation skillsExcellent client management and leadership skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsRevit skills a plusMicrosoft Project a plusSpecLink a plusPay range and compensation package
$110,000-$125,000 (Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, and internal equity)
