GENERAL SUMMARY :
The Concierge is the initial point of contact for potential residents, families, vendors and the community either in person or via the phone. The Concierge is responsible for being professional, polite and will ensure all guests have a pleasant first experience with the community. The Concierge serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies team members of visitor arrival and maintains security and telecommunications systems within the community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Maintains a professional personal presentation
- Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Answers the phone within 3 rings; determine natural of call to either relay information or route call as appropriate
- Takes detailed messages with name, date, time and return phone number
- Ensures team members receive their phone messages promptly
- Maintains knowledge of who is available to receive an inquiry or host a tour
- Maintains security by following procedures, monitoring log books to include visitor sign in and sign out
- Maintains safe and clean reception, lobby and Welcome Room areas by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
- Receive and sort mail for Leadership Team
- Maintain yearly transportation book for resident’s doctor appointments as necessary
- Communicate with Driver at least 24 hours in advance regarding resident appointment dates and times
- Report all accidents and incidents as soon as possible to your supervisor, no matter how minor
- Maintain the confidentiality of residents’ personal care information
- Honor the residents’ personal and property rights
- Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times
- Performs other related essential duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications to include Microsoft Office and OutlookAble to communicate effectively with all levels of management, team members, residents, family members, vendors, referral sources and outside contactsAble to make independent decisionsMust be able to communicate in a warm, friendly and caring mannerMust possess a passion to work with and around senior citizensKnowledge of administrative and clerical proceduresKnowledge of customer service principles and practicesEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
High School Diploma or GEDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Two (2) years’ Concierge experience in a customer service-oriented industryPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Work in all areas of the communitySubject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and other conditionsRequired to use personal protective equipment and supplies to prevent burns, falls, and infection and follow safety policies and proceduresRequirements for personal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoesSubject to infectious diseases, substances and odorsFollow Safety Policy & ProceduresPart Time - Must be able to work rotating weekends and week days
Shifts are 8 am to 2 : 30 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm
